- 1 L homogenized milk
- 250 gm basmati rice
- 500 gm brown sugar
- 125 gm raisins
- Dashes of white cardamom
Methods/steps
- Place rice in a colander and rinse with cold water.
- Bring milk and rice to boil in a saucepan.
- Simmer, tightly covered, for 25 minutes.
- Add sugar and cardamom.
- Put down from the stove, cool slightly and serve.
Additional Tips
You can also add other nuts in kheer to make it more dynamic.
